Updated COVID-19 Practices 1-7-2022
Dear Families,
We are looking forward to returning to school on Monday, January 10, 2022. We have updated our COVID Policies and Practices. They are attached. Please remember we are temporarily returning drop-off and pick-up at the outside doors of the classrooms. Until further notice, only students and individuals working on site may enter the building. The next couple of months will be challenging as we face the Omicron variant. Some classrooms may need to be quarantined due to exposures. We will do our best to avoid another school-wide closure. We will get through this wave of the pandemic by continuing to work together. Please do not bring your child to school if they are sick. Even if you think they only have a cold. We know Omicron symptoms may present as a cold or flu in many people. We will ensure our teachers and staff adhere to our mitigation practices.
We know that there will be breakthrough cases with the Omicron variant. Therefore we advise that all vaccinated individuals get a booster shot at least two months after their J&J vaccine or six months after the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. The vaccines are highly effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. The vaccines have proven to be safe and effective. For more information on the omicron variant, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/variants/omicron-variant.html
Please take your time to review the attached updated practices. Thank you for being patient and flexible as we do our best to create practices to keep our children and staff in a healthy and safe environment. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Be well,
Natalie Feagin, Executive Director www.thecliftonschool.org
